These nature inspired earrings comprise my Watercolor Enamel collection, which was created because I love the look of the various colors of nature’s water and as a younger artist, I enjoyed watercolor painting. The first set of earrings are meant to resemble the sea foam that is created on the surface of water at the beach as the waves rush in. Each piece is first enameled over a copper base (front & back), and fired in a 1450 degree kiln. Using my own unique process, I carefully paint opaque enamel (in which I have added water) on prior layers of fired enamel, and continue kiln firing until I get my desired result. I really love the resulting patterns and implied textures. No two designs are exactly the same, yet putting two together in the same colors provides a unique set.…it’s like wearing a fine art piece on each ear that go together!
